Vocal Media Gave This Piece “Top Story” Status

To my pleasant surprise

Imagine my surprise when I received a congratulations from friends on Facebook.

I had no idea that I had been awarded “Top Story” status on Vocal Media.

I have found these awards are a lot harder to receive when you are a poetry writer. So with that in mind, I never automatically check to see if any of my pieces are ever awarded.

If I was not told by friends, I would never know until I checked my stats and wonder why I had suddenly received 350 reads in two days.

That may then give me an inkling something had gone right.

Here is the culprit that pleasantly surprised me.
