The awesome phenomen of an eclipse.

Eventually the Universe will show us the dark side of this magic we call life,

Celestial cover ups obscuring the normal state of being,

Light fading as the darkening magic evolves, shadow work heightened,

Importance floundering during the declining rays of dazzle,

Pulsating beams disintegrating into black holes of time,

Shadowing the life as humans understand it, highlighting the unknown,

Eclipsing the notion that we hold all the answers, shown the infinite of the mysterious.

This Acrostic poem was written for a challenge on Vocal.

About this challenge

The Prompt

Write an acrostic poem using this word: eclipse.

On April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse will cross North America, passing over Mexico, the United States, and Canada. An eclipse, a cosmic phenomenon and a word with multiple meanings, serves as the focal point of this challenge. We invite you to craft an acrostic poem using the word “eclipse.” An acrostic poem is a form of poetry where the initial letters of each line spell out a word or message when read vertically.
