Simily — The Frustrations

Is the Site worth it

I foolishly joined Simily back in February 2022, paying for an annual membership, before realising the infancy of the site and the frustrations it was going to cause me.

I’ve written of my frustrations in the past, in an endeavour to stop anyone else from experiencing the frustrations and regrets that I have experienced.

Why?

Because the only reason I jumped on board was because of a few Medium writers writing glowing reviews. Funnily enough, it seems those same writers have jumped ship and no longer use the Simily site.

I’ve written of the instability of the site, the number of times there are technical issues and you couldn’t log on, or the times you were unable to publish for days.

But then things began to improve and it all seemed to work a little better.

A welcoming glimpse of hope or a false sense of security?

Unfortunately, that welcoming glimpse of hope has been severely dashed.

Something, over the two months, has gone wrong with the updating of the stats — or is it that Simily doesn’t want to honour its promises and pay each writer for their reads?
