Restless. Ready to leave. A Poem written by Colleen Millsteed.

I can see you getting restless
Trying to hide your itchy feet,
You’re getting ready to leave
Pulling away, ready to retreat.

I’m not blind, nor a fool
I can see there’s a change,
You’re trying hard to hide
You’re acting very strange.

I’ve been playing it cool
So you’d never know,
It’s going to be painful
But I will let you go.

I’ve no idea what went wrong
I thought we were happy,
If I get too close lately
You get incredibly snappy.

So I’ll leave it up to you
As you’ll leave when ready,
Please do it gently
So we can stay friendly.
