The change within
The pitter patter of tiny feet,
Caused my heart to swell,
And made my life complete.
From that very first special meet and greet,
I learned the true definition of love,
When you joined our familial heartbeat.
Motherhood become a two way street,
Of love and pride, worry and fear,
With the setting on constant repeat.
My overall life become more replete,
With every giggle I’d hear,
And your cheeky smile was ever so sweet.
My life before you was made obsolete,
Because you filled my life with unimaginable joy,
You were my gift, my happiness, my special treat.
I had no idea my life was so incomplete,
Until you arrived to change my world,
When with a bang things became more upbeat,
And my destiny changed in a single heartbeat.
