It’s Getting Real
Is this really happening?
For those that are interested in following along, I’m in the planning and organising stage of becoming a full time ‘Not Grey Nomad’.
I’ve successfully negotiated with my boss to work remotely full time, much to my delight.
Spent hours and hours researching caravans; off-road, semi off-road, touring, motor homes and even tiny houses that live permanently on a trailer, that can be moved anywhere, anytime.
I decided on a 16 FT off-road caravan that will allow me to spend considerable time off grid.
Why?
Australia is a huge country and some of the most pristine, natural, untouched beauty is in the middle of nowhere. This is a rugged country and a large part of it is in its natural state, untouched, unharmed by man. Places that 90% of Australian’s will never get to see or to appreciate.
I want to explore some of that rugged and beautiful country and I want some of my creature comforts when I do so.
Don’t get me wrong! I love camping, but I’m getting too old to enjoy sleeping on hard, rocky ground and I am happy not to have to fully set up and pack down a camp, every time I want to move.
