I Could Say. But I will say instead. A Poem written by Colleen Millsteed.

I could say I no longer love you
And hide the fact that I care,
Sadly I would still miss you terribly
Whenever you are not there.

I could say that we are finished
And send you on your way,
I would probably just keep wishing
That you would decide to stay.

I could say that I no longer need you
Even go ahead and find someone new,
But he would never be able to make me feel
The way I always feel with you.

I could say I never really wanted you
And pretend this was all a game,
But that wouldn’t help my pain
I’d feel heartbroken all the same.

You’ve given me no choice but to say
“Goodbye I know that you want to go,
But please always remember
That I’ll forever love you so”.
