Calling Poets Interested In Reciprocal Reading

Hello fellow poets.

Are you having trouble getting the reads on Medium? No matter how good your writing, poetry struggles to get the attention it deserves and when it does, it doesn’t always show up as a genuine read due to the length of a poem.

I’d like to find like minded poets that are interested in boosting their reads.

Is that you?

My plan is to return the minutes it takes to read each others work, as opposed to the number of poems or articles read (eg if you read 10 minutes of my work, I’ll read 10 minutes of yours in return).

For each poet interested, I would like to start a Facebook Messenger chat with you. This chat will be how we inform each other of our reads.

If you are interested, here’s how I propose it works :

• a read is when we use the listen facility on Medium at 0.8x speed.
• an important point is not to leave the screen as Medium won’t count the time read. Therefore, we can’t hit listen and then head off to another website or Facebook, for example. Our phone, tablet or computer screen must stay on the poem being read.
• we note down the time read.
• in the Messenger chat we…
