Be Open Reading Club : I’m Truly Sorry
But I’m also hurt and confused
I’ve been a part of the wonderful Be Open Reading Club for a little while now and truly loved being a part of a wonderful community.
Isn’t this what humans in general need? Community is valuable and important and I was so happy to have found a group of like minded people.
I tried really hard to fit in and do the right thing. I made sure I completed my promised three to six reads a day and on days where I had a little extra time, I’d even read more than my promised reads.
I genuinely read each article, story or poem; I clapped, highlighted and tried to write genuine and encouraging comments.
I was happy with the reciprocity received.
But suddenly this week I’ve started to be excluded and to be honest it has hit me hard. Community is important to me and when you’re suddenly getting pushed aside, it’s destructive to one’s self confidence and self esteem — not to mention detrimental to my earnings.
And I’m really confused as to why.
Over the Christmas / New Year week, I was unable to keep my commitment as we were devastated by a destructive storm on Christmas Day — resulting in no electricity, no water, no phone reception and no internet for more than 10…
